Prepaid Funeral Plans
Prepaid Funeral Plans
Planning for later life is never an easy thing to do, but it can be comforting and reassuring to know that you have taken care of your arrangements, including your Funeral. By taking the time now, you can provide both financial and practical help for your loved ones in the future.
Simply call the office to make an appointment or call in and speak with one of our staff who will guide you through the process and discuss the many options which you have in personalising your Funeral Plan. We will cost the Funeral based upon your requirements and detail this content in a letter. Once payment has been received in full, your Funeral Plan ensures that our funeral directing fees will be covered, no matter how much our prices rise.
Providing you stay in the same area, use our company and your requirements don't change, your family won't be asked to pay a penny more for our professional services regardless of how long you live.
It is also possible to make a contribution to third party costs e.g. Doctors' fees, purchasing / opening of a grave, flowers, newspaper notices etc. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee the cost of these disbursements as they are outside of our control. If these are not covered by the plan value at the time of need, there may be a balance to pay.
Q. What happens to my money?
For your security, your funeral plan pre-payment is securely held in a "whole of life assurance policy" with a life assurance company that is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and rregulated by the PRA and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Funeral plans themselves are not regulated by the PRA or FCA, but our funeral plan provider, Ecclesiastical Planning Services, is registered with the Funeral Planning Authority (FPA). This arrangement ensures that, should we go out of business, your Funeral Plan can be transferred to a different Funeral Director which is a member of The National Association of Funeral Directors. Funeral costs to vary from one area to another, and you will be advised of any change in costs at the time of transfer. Terms and conditions apply to funeral plans - please ask for details.
